Salford City v Forest Green Rovers EFL League Two

We welcome Forest Green to the Peninsula Stadium this afternoon, in were we hope to see payback for the crushing defeat in last seasons fixture....

2019

Forest Green came to the Peninsula in 2019 and give us a lesson in football straight from kickoff with a very quick start and they never let us in the game... Early goals killed us off and parhapps began the start to the end of Carl piergianni as the spearhead of our defence.

2020

With a much changed squad, Graham Alexander will be expecting a better performance from the lads and is expecting a very tough challenge.

We haven't started to quickly so far this campaign, and I hope we don't have déjà vu this time around....

With more league football experience in the squad, a better team shape..... surely we can turn last seasons home defeat around into a win?

Václav Hladký

Our new number 1 has impressed in the few matches since joining last month and with a strong defensive unit in front of him, we may see how far we have come in a short period of time.

Worth keeping a eye out on how Hladký controls his defence in front of him and notice the experience of Eastham communicating with the team.

Ian Henderson

You cant miss to notice the goalscoring instincts of Henderson, and the experience he brings the front line.

Watch out for the communication with Asante and the onfield coaching he gives.

Forest Green Rovers

Our opponents have started their league campaign with a 0-1 win at Bolton, a 2-2 draw at home to Bradford and a couple of defeats in the cups....

Not the most impressive start for our opponents but they'll definitely be a tough challenge with lots of league experience in their team.

Comon AMMIES...........
