Graham Alexander is SACKED!

Salford City FC have today sacked manager Graham Alexander after 2 years and 5 months in charge...

May 14th 2018

On the 14th May 2018 Graham was appointed manager after we was newly promoted in to the English National League.

During his first season in charge 2018/19, Graham guided us to a playoff final win at wembley, with a crushing 3-0 victory over Fylde. Taking us to the English football League Two for the first time in our history.

In his second season, Graham guided us to the EFL trophy final which has been suspended due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

After the league season was ended, and a points per game calculation used, we finished our first league season in eleventh.

Although many of the fans favourite players appeared to be forced out of the club, most Salford fans seemed very happy with our first ever league season as a very positive campaign.

Following a summer of uncertainty due to the coronavirus, we invested heavily in experience and quality of our squad, to try take advantage of our very strong financial position and to lead us to promotion in our second league season...

After a good start, Graham has been sacked whilst we sit 5th in the league after 5 league games . 3 points behind top placed Morecambe and unbeaten...

Was this decision made in March, but delayed due to Coronavirus?!

We go LIVE on Facebook at 19:00 with a recording set to be put on Youtube afterwards...
